Log in and create or update your profile, and you'll be able to apply for the scholarships you're eligible for with just a few clicks. This online application is standardized by Scholarship America, and each chapter modifies it to the chapter's criteria.
Canton Dollars for Scholars currently cannot receive electronic transmissions of transcripts and GPAs.
Do NOT request these items electronically from the Guidance office. CDFS will acquire this information.

- YOU MUST BE A CANTON RESIDENT OR GO TO CANTON HIGH SCHOOL IN ORDER TO APPLY. You can apply if you live in Canton and go to EITHER Canton Public Schools OR any private, parochial, or home-based school. If you go to Canton Public Schools and live in another town, there are some scholarships that are only available to Canton residents and you would not qualify for those as detailed in their description.
- FINANCIAL INFORMATION: Our scholarships are mostly merit-based, but we do have a few needs based scholarships. If you qualify for these scholarships, you will need to add your financial information. All information is kept confidential.
- WE DO NOT REQUIRE OR CONSIDER ANY LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION.
- WE DO NOT REQUIRE OR CONSIDER "GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS" OR "UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES" ESSAY.
- COMPLETE THE "CANTON DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS CUSTOM QUESTION" ESSAY. Your essay should be a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 500 words.
- CANTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY: Under GPA requirements, submit a standard 4.0. We will contact Guidance to confirm your actual GPA on Canton's 12-point scale.
- STUDENTS ATTENDING SCHOOLS OTHER THAN CANTON HIGH SCHOOL (PRIVATE/PAROCHIAL/HOMESCHOOL): Please enter your current GPA in the GPA requirements area. We will contact your school's administrative office to verify your GPA.
- USE THE GRAY SUPPORT TAB FOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT QUESTIONS. You will receive an email confirmation once you have successfully submitted your applications. If you have questions, email Canton Dollars for Scholars at Canton@dollarsforscholars.org.
- PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN SEARCH AND SUBMIT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS EVEN IF YOUR PROFILE SAYS YOU ARE LESS THAN 100% COMPLETE! Because we do not require financial, transcript or recommendation information, your profile will look as if it is less than 100% complete. You will still be able to submit your application for all of the CDFS scholarships for which you qualify.
